[Chinese Restaurant Review] Cho-Sen Island, Lawrence

It was time for us to return to their roots. Two of our final three Quests took us to Flushing, NY. We needed to discover our selves once more. Heart our being. Get again in to the ‘hood Maui restaurants.

We have tried a mixture of different types of Chinese language meals. Cantonese, Szechuan, Singapore model. However, by no means Kosher Chinese language meals. There are many Kosher Chinese language eating places in Manhattan. However, our Quest, as but, is not to seek out the very best Chinese language restaurant on that little finger of an island that they name Manhattan. Our Quest is to seek out the very best Chinese language restaurant on LONG Island.

So, we needed to discover probably the most densely populated Jewish space we may doable discover. The 5 Cities. Vacation spot: Lawrence, NY

And after we acquired there, we practically missed it. It positive seemed closed and out of enterprise from the surface. However, we’re good Jews. We’re literate. We all know the right way to learn. The signal mentioned “Open for Enterprise”. That should imply that they are open for enterprise.

So in we went.

For anybody who needs to observe in our footsteps, the restaurant is positioned at:

Cho-Sen Island

367 Central Avenue

Lawrence, NY 11559

And, oh what a schlep it was to get there. Oye vey!

The variety of yarmulkes within the restaurant outnumbered the variety of chopsticks by a ratio of 40-5 (or, Eight-1 for these of you mathematician who prefer to convey their fractions to the bottom widespread denominator (Jews AND Chinese language will love that reference!)

The restaurant was packed. And it was a Wednesday night time. I can solely think about what the gang is like on the weekend. Hmm… Shabbos. Maybe Wednesday IS their busy night time of the week. Dunno. Can anybody confirm what crowds there are like on a weekend for us please?
